The race is and remains first and foremost a popular festival! For this reason, together with Primus and Coca-Cola, Flanders Classics is providing the spectators with free spectators’ villages. This will be accessible from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. There will be food and beverage outlets, sanitary facilities and a big screen.

Flanders Classics has given their remaining wildcard to Team NetApp. After the team managed to secure an invitation to the Giro d'Italia, yet another top race has been added to their cycling calendar. The top-rated German team rounds out the second-league teams, which will be competing in the Ronde van Vlaanderen alongside the WorldTour teams.

After a tremendously exciting finish, the Belgian Nick Nuyens beats Chavanel and Cancellara in a man to man fight in Meerbeke.

The 95th Tour of Flanders launches a premiere on April 3rd 2011. For the first time it will be possible for the television audience to witness the interaction between riders and their team cars. The cars of the main challengers of current winner Fabian Cancellara, QuickStep (Tom Boonen), Omega Pharma Lotto (Philippe Gilbert), Garmin-Cervélo (world champion Thor Hushovd) and SaxoBank (Nick Nuyens), are equipped with two camera’s. Images and sound are continuously registered and redirected by a special airplane to the finish in Meerbeke. The images cut into the live broadcast so the viewers are able to witness the very core of the race.

Fabian Cancellara has won the 94th Tour of Flanders. On the Wall of Geraardsbergen he left the Belgian favorite Tom Boonen and arrived all alone at the finishline in Meerbeke. Tom Boonen came in second. Philippe Gilbert won the sprint for the third place.
